White Wicker and Silver

I love the look of white wicker with silver plated pieces. It's probably because my favorite look is that of an old summer cottage by the sea where the family has brought unused furniture and other things from their main home to furnish it. Some of the pieces may be antiques and others just extra furniture but it all comes together. White wicker and silver has that clean summer feel to it. It's fresh and clean. The silver gives the wicker more elegance and the wicker makes the silver more casual...it's the perfect match in my mind.

Update: If you are interested here is a link for the little side table. I didn't buy it here but it looks exactly the same. The top comes off so you can carry it from the kitchen to wherever. I move this table between my bedroom and living room...I can never decide where I like it best. Click here

  1. Hi Cindy,

  2. Oh I love white wicker with the silver!! I have just been spraypainting a wicker chair white this weekend! I know I will find some place for it...haven't decided yet. I love how you have it by your couch like that...reminds me of the way my house is set up. My dining room and living room are connected but small so I need to put a small chair in the middle where the "invisible" wall is.

I just love your beautiful blog...and your banner is gorgeous!

  4. Okay. So I guess there is a first time for everything. I am finally going to leave a negative comment on your beautiful blog. At last. Uh... SHAME ON YOU for sharing that link!!! Oh, there are sooooo many cute things under shabby elegance, the oil warmer, the little screen, the little table you "hooked" me with, a candleabra to die for with pink teardrops... So, consider yourself finger wagged at! Love your silver and white wicker. --- Of course, I'm teasing about the negative part. You are a dream!

  15. I love the photos of your home! Very cozy and comfortable looking. I have a wicker love seat that I want to spray white. But it has wooden arms so not certain how that will look...
