Okay, I think these are a little clearer pictures. I couldn't
decide which picture to post so I'm just putting a bunch of pictures here.
This was the best $20 I ever spent! I love my chandelier! I've decided to not use the chandelier shades (for now anyway). It looks like the center lights up but it doesn't it just reflects the light.
Hi Cindy, I'm so happy for you -- that chandelier is definitely worth waiting for! And look at your house -- it looks amazing!

I LOVE IT TOO!!
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome! You've moved some things around, haven't you. You're so good at decorating and choosing pieces that work together, that it doesn't matter where you move things. It always looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove your chandelier.....love your room......very, very nice :)

Hi there!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog this evening and I must say I just love the old furnitures that you've been painting. They look great. Hope you have a great time.

Love it! I love the colors of your home! Everything flows so nice together!
ReplyDeleteCindy...
ReplyDeleteThat is one beautiful chandelier! You scored big time on that one...I might just say it is one of the prettiest I have seen in a long while...and to think you got it for $20.00...see that goes to show...you don't have to spend a lot for a treasure!
Blessings...oh and the new pics...rock!

Cindy, that is a beautiful chandelier. What great deal, too!

That chandelier brings the entire room together, it all looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful. I may have to start searching for one myself. The camera seems to work great. I've been coveting one myself for quite awhile. I have a Canon Rebel film camera and lenses, so I could use the same lenses---maybe someday.
ReplyDeleteI also loved your painting instructions. I had never thought about using wax as the final step. Now I'm wanting to repaint a buffet and bookshelf. Thanks for the tips. ~Teri~
Truly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI can't beleive you did the dimmer by yourself! You are so resourceful :) Your home is so warm and cozy and so very you. Love your chandelier!

I love your blog and want to add it to my list of blogs I read. The chandelier is gorgeous. And you rewired it yourself! Is that difficult to do? Thanks also for the painting instructions. I just painted an old chest, but I didn't follow all your steps.
ReplyDeleteHi, Cindy, this chandelier is to die for. I think I like it better without shades. It sparkles more, I think. Your rooms are so pretty and bring such joy to all of us that read your blog every single day. So much fun!

There's just something magical about a chandelier and how it changes the look of a room. Yours is beautiful and I'm impressed by how little you paid for it!! Looks good with or without shades too!
ReplyDeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteI love the chandelier without the shades. It looks more romantic!

ReplyDeleteStunning Cindy! and I love the plates above you mirror as well.
ReplyDeleteThat looks fabulous! When I re-did my auction chandy recently, I thought I'd use the shades, but I liked it better w/o them also!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
:)
perfectly lovely....i too would like to know what's involved in rewiring....how do you know you have to rewire? do you test it first?
ReplyDeletei have one i picked up for $10....but it's not as glitzy as yours!!!
Your chandelier is amazing in your room!! I have the EXACT same one!! lol I also got mine at a gargage sale for $10.00. Will have to post pics of it..lol. Mine had a tag on it that said "made in Spain" too which was nice to know it wasn't made in China like todays items...lol. I didn't use the shades on mine either...like it just the way it is.
ReplyDeleteI actually just got a crtstal ball drop for the middle bottom and am trying to figure out how to hang it since there are no holes in the metal there. It doesn't look like yours has a hole there either.
I loved seeing your gorgeous photos...what a beautiful room!
Heather
