Finally my Morning Glories have bloomed...better late than never! This is another one of my favorite flowers. I just love any blue flower! I woke up Saturday morning and went out on my patio and out of the corner of my eye I saw blue. I ran upstairs to get the camera and the batteries were dead. Luckily I got another bloom on Sunday morning! Just one day of beauty for these flowers and then they're gone. As you can see they are growing alongside my cherry tomatoes.
It's funny how something this simple can make my morning so happy!

That's my favorite color morning glory. That one never thrives for me like the purple ones. Your right it's so exciting when they start to bloom.

ReplyDeleteI love morning glories as well. Your pictures of them are gorgeous. Love the header on your blog as well - another of my favorites - hydrangea.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day!

I love morning glories....they remind me of my childhood.

Your Morning Glories may be late bloomers, but they sure are beautiful!

Oh, I think these are probably right up there with all my favorite flowers!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about the blooms that makes you want to just pull up a chair, sit, and stare at 'em, all the while your mind can just go about a billion other places?
Hmmm.......So relaxing!
Enjoy!
Thank you so much for posting about your beautiful morning glories--not a flowering plant I can see here in Tucson. When we move back to the east-side of the U.S., I plan to have all those sort of flowers that would not thrive here in the desert.
ReplyDeleteOh, how lovely! I am so glad you shared them today~
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy -- what a pretty morning glory! Blue flowers are my favorites, too. Love your chalkboard from yesterday, too. You may not have the kitchen of your dreams, but I'm sure it's filled with great smells and wonderful famly times. :)

My dear grandparents had Morning Glories on a fence on their property...that is one of my favorite childhood memories...when we were little we would go and "pop" the Morning Glories.
ReplyDelete***rechargable batteries are a God send!** Tip - buy the $20.00 ones from Radio Shack because they last a really really long time compared to the cheesy Walmart ones!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color. Mine are more purple. Love morning glories.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing,
Rosemary
Just stunning! Lovely shade of blue! Isn't mother nature's palette of colors wonderful! Thanks for sharing such a lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteWhat great pictures. I love morning glories especially the blue ones! Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI love your morning glory! That is the most wonderful color!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Cindy, for the wonderful link you sent me. I have just started to read through the blog but I am loving it. Another older adoptive Mom who adores her girl! : )
Thank you so much for thinking of me and sending it along.
You are a sweetie!
Hugs,
Sue
Those are so pretty, Cindy. I planted some this year, but with our heat & drought, they haven't done squat!! I was hoping they would cover my little arbor. Maybe next year. Enjoy!

Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI live in southwestern Pennsylvania and mine just started to bloom for this year too.....which seems very late.
This is the first time I'e run across your blog and I just love it. We're on a tight budget as well and it's always inspiring to see others making beautiful pieces out of flea market finds. My mom, sister and I are constantly figuring out ways we can make things when we can't afford the prices that are charged for many decorative items.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Mine haven't bloomed yet either....i'm waiting patiently though!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy,
Mindy
Beautiful Morning Glories...They bring just what they are called. Morning Glory...Very nice.
