Here are the very last of the sweet peas I grew this year. The first year that I lived in this home, I planted sweet peas and they did so well. Ever since then I've had a hard time growing them. I planted a pack of seeds that never came up so I planted another pack. I think I planted 3 packs of seeds and I got 2 small vines of sweet peas. I think the problem was my dog was walking all over the area I planted them. I finally wised up and put a small wire fence around the seeds and had a little better luck. Hopefully next year will be better!
Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteThey are such a pretty color.
Better luck next year.
Have a great day!!

Beautiful colors :-).
ReplyDeleteThey do seem a bit hard to grow.
Plus I don't think some of the seeds are very fresh so to speak in stores anymore.
Good luck with next years crop:-).
Have a great day!
Cindy, Your sweet peas make me think of my gramma's yard. It was rampant with them, but I have trouble with them, too. I finally have given up a little on them. How is your mom?
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I've never tried growing them. Hopefully you'll have better luck with them next year.

Those are so pretty! I wish that they would grow here...I don't think that they like our heat. You really are a gifted gardener, and I hope that you have even more next season!
ReplyDeleteBTW, thank you so much for your sweet comment. I immediately thought of you when I pulled out the terrarium! :)

Cindy, those are beautiful flowers. Don't you love being able to bring the blooms inside too?

Mine are just beginning to flower now and i'm looking forward to that heavenly scent.
ReplyDeleteThey look beautiful. I've never grown any but I may have to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I have always loved sweet peas and they grow so well here in Phx. But I have not grown them in a couple years, so seeing yours was a treat! They smell sooo devine and the colors are sooo yummy!
ReplyDeleteMan, I have planted sweet peas every year for years and have NEVER gotten them to come up. I've tried scoring, I've tried everything. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I even tried planting starts, and those didn't do well either! ARGH! ~A :-)
